About Luxury Inca Trail

This site sets the luxury Inca Trail tours next to each other: private and premium versions of the classic four-day trek from Km 82, the short two-day trail from Km 104 with a hotel night in Aguas Calientes, glamping departures and the trains that bring you back to Cusco. The site compares tour listings, the operators' own information and official sources such as Peru's Ministry of Culture and the rail operators. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours. The full line-up sits in the luxury Inca Trail tours catalog.

Why It Exists

Every Inca Trail tour looks alike in a search result: stone steps, a mountain pass, the first view of Machu Picchu from the Sun Gate. The listings rarely put the details that change your trip in one place. Is the trail permit inside the price? Is the group private or shared? Do you sleep in a standard tent, a glamping tent or a hotel? Which train class brings you back, and is the Machu Picchu entry ticket included? What does the cancellation policy really say?

Those are the columns of the comparison table here, read off each listing.

Where the Figures Come From

Tour prices, ratings, review counts and inclusions come from the listing on the platform that sells each tour. Start points, campsites and timings come from the listing and the operator's own site. Permit rules, the February closure, Machu Picchu circuits and train classes come from Peru's Ministry of Culture, the rail operators, Wikipedia and the operators' own travel information.

When two sources disagree, the page shows both or leaves the figure out.

What You Will Not Find

There is no invented guide or trekker behind these pages, and no claim that anyone from the site walked these routes. Reviews shown are short excerpts from four and five star platform reviews. A complaint that comes up often, such as the climb to Dead Woman's Pass or permits selling out months ahead, is written into the comparison with what to do about it.

How the Site Is Paid For

The booking buttons are affiliate links to GetYourGuide and Viator. If you book through one, the platform pays a commission and your price does not change. No operator pays for a place, a badge or the pick.

The details are on the affiliate disclosure page.
